The Christiana Borough has recently subscribed to Savvy Citizen, a notification system which allows the borough to easily and effectively communicate with our residents via push notifications, text messages or emails.  Savvy Citizen is more than a notification system as it allows us to keep you up to date on community events, helpful information, and much more.   The best part, you get to decide how you receive your notifications.

Available on Android, iPhone/iPad, and desktop, residents of the Christiana Borough can choose to receive notifications with push alerts on their smart phone, or they can browse in-app for a full listing of their notifications, alerts and community events.  Those without smartphones or who choose not to download the app can sign up via https://savvycitizenapp.com/ and select to have text notifications or e-mails sent to them.

Whether it is an emergency alert, a change in trash or recycling pick up, a fun local event or municipal meeting, Savvy Citizen has a complete scheduling system that allows us to communicate with the residents of the Christiana Borough.

The ability to make phone calls will no longer be an option for alerting, however if you do not have access to the internet or smart phone, please call our office at (610) 593-5199 to make other arrangements for alert notifications.  We will run the current call system in conjunction with Savvy Citizen until the end of the year, December 31^st.
